ABOUT

My name is Sina, and now I am PhD student at UMBC.

I have a master's degree in Power Engineering, Energy Planning, and Management from the Graduate University of Advanced Technology, Kerman, Iran, with a GPA of 18.18/20 (4/4), (ranked as 2nd top student). My master's thesis was dedicated to the "optimal operation of a stand-alone hybrid energy system including photovoltaic, diesel generator, and pumped hydro storage", for which I received a grade of 19.8/20. Based on my research, I have published a paper in the Journal of Energy Storage (2020), and presented another one at the 6th International Conference on Energy Technology and Management (2020) about" Optimizing operation of a photovoltaic, diesel generator, and pumped hydro storage stand-alone hybrid energy system based on optimal fuel consumption ". My other paper entitled performance optimization of a grid-connected hybrid system composed of photovoltaic and pumped hydro storage (PV/PHS) was published in Renewable Energy (October 2020). The other paper related to optimal sizing of hybrid energy systems is published in Energy (September 2021) about "Impact of solar tracker and energy storage system on the sizing of hybrid energy systems: A comparison between diesel/PV/PHS and diesel/PV/FC". Moreover, my most recent paper is published in IET Renewable Power Generation about " Techno-enviro-economic feasibility assessment of an off-grid hybrid energy system with/without solar tracker considering pumped hydro storage and battery".
